Hello, I’m Laura. I’m a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Therapist based in Bournemouth/Poole. I’m passionate about supporting people who are looking for therapy and hoping to better understand themselves and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. I believe in the importance of a warm, trusting therapeutic relationship and aim to offer a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including: CBT, CFT, ACT, mindfulness-based therapies, and EMDR. I will tailor the therapeutic approach to your individual needs and goals, always going at your pace.
I work with people over the age of 16 experiencing a range of difficulties, including low mood/depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, trauma/PTSD, grief, loss, low self-esteem and life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting people through the perinatal period, including fertility challenges, birth trauma and the transition to parenthood.
Starting therapy can feel daunting or you may be unsure about what sort of therapist or therapy would be best for you. I would be pleased to offer a free 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation. We can explore what has brought you to therapy and see whether I may be a good fit for you.
