I provide a safe and confidential space for both individuals and those with relationship difficulties to work through what is troubling you. Therapy can be daunting and many struggle to make that initial consultation; you are not alone. I will walk alongside you every step of the way on your therapeutic journey; providing you with individually tailored tools and techniques to work through your difficulties. Often in life it is our relationships, which cause us the most angst, our stress is generally always in relation to someone else and our self talk if often heavily laden with 'shoulds' resulting in feelings of guilt.
My practice is psychodynamic in focus which involves working at a deeper level to access the origins of what is troubling you; this allows us to work with the source of the problem thus ‘getting it out by the roots’. I consider this to be like a process of enlightenment freeing you to leave old wounds behind and live your life to the fullest.
Many of us do not feel like anyone is listening in our lives, nevermind understood by those around us. In your therapy sessions you will be not only be listened to but 'heard'. Sometimes we just need to feel like someone 'gets' us and as we work together I will endeavour to see your world through your eyes with compassion and acceptance.
