Being human can be complicated, there are times we all struggle to make sense of how we’re living. Sometimes nothing seems to bring us any sense of joy, meaning or simply contentment anymore. Talking to a counsellor might seem intimidating or downright terrifying but it’s honestly true that talking can make a huge difference and help make those negative or even desperate times easier to manage. I will provide you with a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can share any problems or troubling thoughts you might have. Together we will work through these in order that you can find resolution and happiness in your life.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, from young to older and old. I have a special interest in issues such as bereavement, loneliness, anxiety, low self-esteem and depression. As well as being a qualified counsellor I have extensive experience (21 years) working with young people. who describe me as kind and approachable.
I aim to provide a safe and confidential space where you can relax and gradually share your problems, regain some clarity and a more positive outlook to allow you to move forward. The aim in sessions will be for you to feel optimistic again. I will listen with empathy and whilst I may challenge you, it will be with understanding, gentle humour and respect.
