My approach is collaborative. I work relationally with clients towards creating long lasting changes and provide a space for the client to explore personal and relational concerns in a secure and non-judgemental environment. Together, we will investigate current challenges or deep-seated issues which may present as a difficulty in identifying and expressing emotions, feelings of being estranged from needs, or a sense of being stuck. We will work towards new experiences in behaviour, thoughts and emotions.
My particular leaning is contemporary and relational psychodynamic practice. I also draw on trauma-informed techniques and existential concepts. I have a longstanding interest in human development and the role of neuroscience in understanding interpersonal interactions.
