When emotional problems arise it can be difficult to know where to turn and pressures to cope can leave us isolated and desperate. There may be people around who offer their time but feelings of shame and fears can make it difficult to make use of them. It might be that there is no-one to speak to and problems originating in the past are getting in the way of you finding satisfaction in life. Traumas can remain unprocessed and present themselves in everyday life. Analytic psychotherapy is a way of exploring oneself and relationships to try to make sense of the patterns and issues that are blocking you.
I have 20+ years experience of working as an Art Psychotherapist in adult mental heath and in private practise. I qualified as a Jungian Analytical Psychotherapist in 2021. I am experienced in working with a range of mental health and emotional problems. I understand symptoms as signposts to underlying disturbance and seek to explore these to affect change.
It takes courage to ask for help with and it is important that you feel safe to express and explore yourself. I work with images and words and work at your pace and with your focus to make links between experience, emotion, thoughts and perceptions to start to make some sense of your inner world. I offer sessions from one to three times a week.
