I have lots of experience of working with all age groups, from children through to the elderly around issues such as anxiety, low mood, bereavement, low self esteem and self harming in a variety of settings including in my private practice, an education setting and as part of a bereavement service. Sometimes it can be difficult to fully understand why we are feeling a certain way and I believe that therapy is a good place to work through this and identify what you would like to change and where to begin, finding strategies to manage difficult feelings.

I believe that the relationship between us is a really important part of counselling as it forms a foundation for the work that we do together. I also consider theories from an integrative perspective meaning that the approach I take might change from person to person, to fit with what you would like to get from therapy.

I offer a safe and confidential space for you to be able to work through your challenges. I am understanding, non judgmental and empathic. I understand how overwhelming counselling can feel sometimes and am happy to go at your pace. Please get in touch if you would like more information about me and how we could work together.
