Since qualifying in 2016 my experience primarily consists of supporting people with: eating disorders, body image concerns and LGBT+ related issues (including gender dysphoria, coming out, internalised homophobia or transphobia, family rejection, and the process of transitioning). I also have experience working in the field of addiction and a common feature of therapy concerning all of the above is the management of anxiety, depression, stress, burnout and related issues. I currently offer 1-1 therapy and 1-1 therapy for eating disorders in person in Central Exeter for adults aged 18+.
My primary training is in Dramatherapy which is a creative form of Psychotherapy. This means that in addition to talking we may also explore the use of artwork, stories, metaphors, creative writing, objects and other creative tools. In addition, i'm qualified Sound Therapist and i'm trained in MANTRA (Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults).
My approach is adaptable and integrative, meaning I will work with you to find a way of engaging with therapy that feels most supportive to you. My aim is to consistently provide a non-judgmental, relaxed and safe space for you to explore your inner landscape which I hope will help to connect you with the most authentic version of yourself.
