Sometimes we need someone to witness our experience, to validate our struggles. This sounds simple, yet many of us often feel like we can't get it from people in our lives. As a therapist, it all begins with me getting to know your perspective, to see your world through your eyes as best I can. You might feel you know exactly why you seek therapy, or it may seem less clear right now — either way, you probably want something to change. Perhaps you feel aspects of your life are 'stuck', or feel overwhelmed by emotions, thoughts, or other difficulties that seem impossible to move through.
I am a psychotherapist in training, offering affordable therapy in Bristol and Bath. My aim is to hold a space in which you feel safe enough to explore the experiences, emotions and dilemmas that you have lived, and those you face now as they arise in your current life, and in the room between us. To me, you are a unique individual with unique needs.
The therapy space I hold is non-judgemental, and you'll never be forced somewhere you don't want to go. Building trust plays a large part in my approach to therapy. This doesn't mean there won't be challenges to the way you see the world and your place in it, but it is a journey to be undertaken together, at your own pace.
