Most of my clients come to me knowing they are not happy but they don't always know why. Sometimes it is because of the people and circumstances around them and sometimes it is because they keep repeating the same behaviours that are not producing a happy life for them. My job is to help people understand what it is in their lives that they are not happy with, or want to change and to imagine a life with the new changes in it. I work with the client to provide a safe, comfortable environment for them to explore what is going on for them and how they can make the changes to live a happy, fulfilling life.
I offer counselling to adults and teenagers for various different issues including anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, trauma, abuse, panic attacks, OCD, couples counselling etc., but narcissistic abuse and unhealthy relationships are my specialism. I am trained in Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic and Transactional Analysis and Inner Child therapy.
I pride myself on being 'human' and creating a non-judgemental environment for my clients to feel safe and secure in sharing their issues. I am happy to disclose the life that I have experienced, to help my clients understand I am far from perfect and have experienced difficulties in the past. My clients often say that by sharing, I often inspire them.
