Our minds can be a messy place and sometimes we can feel as though we are totally alone and being driven by our thoughts! Do you find it difficult to make sense of your thoughts? Or to regain control over them once they start becoming louder? More and more people are struggling with this but are struggling to open up because of feelings of embarrassment or shame. Once we take that first step and say our thoughts out loud, in a safe space, distressing thoughts immediately lose their sting. Your bravery in seeking support will put you in the drivers seat and then we can work together to really unpick your thoughts and regain control.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). IPT is beneficial for you if you suffer with depression and it is linked to relationships or a recent bereavement. CBT is beneficial if you are struggling more with anxiety and problematic thinking, or depression when it is not linked to relationships alone.
I am a collaborative therapist who views myself as just one of the two experts in the room. I will play an active role in your recovery, supporting you every step of the way. I hold an empathic and validating stance, and we will celebrate your achievements together. I am naturally curious and will support you in delving deeper into your thoughts and feelings
