Conflicts often follow a familiar, repetitive pattern even though the content may change. In relationship therapy, we can identify the strategies that you're using in conflict, the needs you hope those strategies will meet, the ways in which those strategies might be counterproductive, and how you can do things differently.
I offer Internal Family Systems informed therapy for partners and other pairs including siblings, friends, and family members. I welcome people in non-normative relationships such as queerplatonic relationships.
Some of the struggles bringing you to relationship therapy might include: one of you withdraws in conflict and the other pursues; you're struggling with trauma and want to support each other; you have values differences that are causing issues; or you’re experiencing a loss of emotional connection or attraction that you had at the start of your relationship.
