You might find yourself here because you are dealing with an issue that feels overwhelming or you might want to take some time and space to talk about something that has been bothering you for a while. Counselling offers a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore things. Counselling works, not by fixing people, but by supporting you through your own truths and aiding you to trust and understand yourself. It is an entirely safe space where you can truly be listened to and understood without any judgement by someone not involved in your every day life.
I am a person centred, integrative counsellor which means I work with what you bring to the session, and believe you are the expert in your own life and I will be guided by you. My job is to walk alongside you and to help you with tools and strategies to lead the life you want to. I use methods from various forms of counselling to aid our sessions.
Reaching out can be a hard first step, even if you feel you are ready for counselling. Therefore, I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation. This gives you the opportunity to get to know me, to explore how we could work together and to get a feel for how counselling might be. This can help to reassure you and help you feel confident and comfortable.
