An experienced BACP accredited counsellor working in central Winchester offering face to face counselling, specializing in mental health addictions and epilepsy. My approach underpinned by Gestalt therapy which can be integrated with a solution focus approach. Historic life difficulties and the presenting current climate has seen many people struggle with their mental health and turn to unhealthy and destructive ways of coping. The misuse of drugs and alcohol, gambling, over eating, sex, pornography or gaming are often used as a way of coping with difficult memories, thoughts and feelings.
My approach gives you an opportunity to work on presenting problems which might include “reducing drug and alcohol use, using recovery tools” An opportunity to explore “what you are in control of in your life and how to regain more control” “communication with a partner or work colleagues” a way to improve “your mental health such as anxiety and stress”
Other areas I work with include, Recovery of historic trauma, Supporting someone with an addiction, Families of addicts and those with a diagnoses of epilepsy.
