I offer a straightforward and grounded approach to therapy and my practice is rooted in your present experience, working with what is actually going on in your life right now. My approach is humanistic, blending concepts taken from psychodynamic theory and Buddhism, or to put it another way - science and spirituality. I work with the mind and body, viewing them not as two separate competing entities, but as a flowing, cyclical, relational system, with each needing a unique type of care and attention which unfortunately is all too often missing from our modern lives both on an individual and societal level.
As with any system, if parts aren't cared for, then the whole system suffers. We'd fix our car in a heartbeat, yet we ignore our own suffering, because as humans we have an amazing ability to bear pain and cope, ‘getting on with it’ because we don’t know any other way.
But there is another way.
