Whatever is going on for you, know that you don't have to go through it alone. Having a counsellor alongside you can be a deeply empowering experience, offering you a place to say and feel everything you need to, without unwelcome pressure and judgment. Counselling can help you to make sense of things. You will receive patience, softness, and gentle challenge - all essential for change. I offer online and telephone sessions Monday to Friday, in-person sessions in Kendal on Monday and Tuesday, and walk and talk sessions in and around Kirkby Stephen on Thursday and Friday. I am trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and LGBTQ+ friendly.
Common themes I work with are: bereavement, grief, loss, relationships, attachment, loneliness, self-esteem, life stage, abuse, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Alongside counselling I have a working knowledge of health and adult social care, having spent 15 years in various public sector roles. I have provided counselling in a prison, and began my working life in an investment management team. I live in Eden Valley, Cumbria, after moving here from Stamford, Lincolnshire in 2024.
