About
I am a Clinical Psychologist with 18 years’ experience of working in the NHS. I work with adults (18+ years) and can help with acute crises and stressors, as well as long-standing emotional difficulties. I have worked in a range of settings and seen people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of psychological issues. My areas of expertise focus on helping people overcome traumatic experiences, improve their interpersonal relationships, develop greater self-compassion and self-care, increase their self-confidence and cope better with intense emotions. I am bilingual and can offer therapy in English and German.
In psychological therapy I aim to create a safe space that allows my clients to talk about their difficulties openly. We will start the process by developing a joint understanding of the issues you would like to address and a plan of how to help you make the changes that lead to the best possible outcomes.
We will use this plan to assist you to build on what is going well in your life and work on areas that feel stuck. I believe that a positive therapeutic relationship can be a great vehicle for change and will bring to this not only my expertise in psychological approaches and best practice guidelines, but also my personal qualities as another human being.
