Life can be challenging. It can be difficult opening up to someone about the worst that's happened to us, about the parts of ourselves we struggle with. For some dealing with trauma can impact how we treat others, having negative impacts on relationships & life. I’ve worked for over 25 years with those who’ve experienced complex trauma: who’ve lived/worked in conflict zones; been abused by family; struggle to emotionally regulate; have been abusive & with relationship breakdown. As a couple it’s important to feel the therapist you choose is able to work with you around your relationship.
As a Wellbeing Psychologist my experience includes working with varying types of monogamous & open relationships. I specialise in working with adults with adverse childhood experiences, including dissociative identity disorder; adolescents experiencing challenges with emotions &/or using violence & aggression.
I work with individuals, couples & families. My approach is integrative, sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly. I manage a therapeutic organisation near Lutterworth & offer sessions throughout the day, with some evening appointments available.
