I am a Clinical Psychologist supporting people to heal from Birth Trauma. I can offer support for mothers, fathers, birth partners and healthcare professionals. I can also offer therapy for parents who have experienced trauma as a result of neonatal care, miscarriage and loss. After experiencing Perinatal Trauma people often experience emotions such as grief, guilt, anxiety, shame, sadness and anger. Sometimes people report difficulties with sleeping, flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts or issues with control. I can help you to navigate these experiences and process these feelings.

It may be that your birth was recent or many months or years ago. Perhaps you are wanting to process your emotions before planning another pregnancy or birth. I can offer compassionate and evidence based psychological treatment to help you move forward and make sense of what has happened to you. I look forward to working with you.
Firstly we will spend time building a sense of trust so you feel safe to tell me your story, then together we will create a formulation of your current difficulties and symptoms. I work in an integrative way using the following models. Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy (ST).
