Hello, my name is Kath and I am a person-centred counsellor. Therapy offers a confidential, safe space where you can explore thoughts and feelings. By doing this you give yourself the opportunity to increase your understanding of yourself which in turn enables you to live your life in a more healthy and satisfying way. Not one size fits all so I offer an introductory half hour session so you can decide whether it feels okay to work together. I understand that taking that step to call can be hard, I may not always be able to answer the phone but please do leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.
I have to say that I don't have a "speciality". I believe that person-centred counselling works with the person as a whole and whatever they bring. I have worked with clients from 17 years of age to 80 and over. Clients have explored feelings of anxiety, depression, bullying, isolation, low self esteem to name but a few.
It can sometimes feel really difficult to share how we feel with those around us. We may feel we don't want to be a burden or that we might not be understood. I offer a safe non-judgemental space in which to explore these feelings and thoughts at your pace. You are the expert on yourself and my role is as a companion walking alongside you.
