Hello, I am a professionally qualified, UKCP registered psychotherapist with a private practice in East Grinstead, and I also work online via video call. I aim to provide a safe, welcoming, space in which you can talk freely, so that we can develop a trusting and understanding relationship in which a process of discovery and change can begin. I will not judge you, direct you, or set goals for the therapy. My role is to facilitate a process whereby you can find your own meanings, truths and solutions.
I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches and tailor my approach to your specific needs. I am most extensively trained in the existential approach, which emphasises the human condition as a whole and helps the individual work within their human limitations while learning to recognise and utilise unexplored possibilities.
I also incorporate mindfulness in my approach to therapy. Mindfulness can significantly change the way we relate to difficult feelings and experiences and has been shown to reduce stress and help with depression and anxiety.
