Every child experiences and make sense of the world around them in a unique way. If a child is feeling anxious, unhappy or struggling with something, play and creative arts therapy can give them a safe and accepting space to explore their feelings at their own pace.
With my support alongside them, children can begin to process their emotions and gradually discover different ways of thinking and being.
My aim is always to meet each child where they are — emotionally and developmentally — so that they can feel more empowered, grow in self-awareness and develop a stronger sense of security in themselves and the world around them.
As a registered play therapist (PTUK) with a successful background in Primary education, I offer connection, empathy and understanding to children and families I work with. Play and creative therapy can support children to gently process traumatic memories or intense feelings, build resilience and feel more confident in themselves and their relationships.
I offer individual sessions (including puppets, sand play, art materials, role play, stories and music) in Skipton, and I accept referrals from parents, schools and other agencies.
