About
I have private and NHS experience working with clients with a wide variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, self-harm, relationship issues, domestic abuse, weight loss, chronic pain, and PTSD. Some clients have a good understanding of their issues and what they want to achieve, whereas others are not so sure and want help to find these things out. Whilst some issues are fairly clear cut, others can be more complex and have been present for a long time. Regardless of this, all of my clients have wanted to make changes that will improve their situation and help them to enjoy life.
I have been trained to use several different counselling theories in an integrated way, which means that I can tailor our sessions to suit your individual needs. Counselling can sometimes take only 1 or 2 sessions but it can also take several months to work through more complex problems; we will always work at a pace that is comfortable for you.
I provide a safe space for you to talk about the things that are troubling you. I believe that everyone has as much right as anyone else to be seen and heard, and that everyone's worries are valid; I will listen without judging and support you to decide what is best for you. Together we can focus on a brighter future for you.
