I work using Zoom which allows you to access counselling from your own environment. This cuts out travelling time and may fit into a busy schedule. Even so, I recommend that you allow at least 15 minutes after sessions to think through what we have talked about. There is a need for you to create privacy so that we can speak freely and you are able to gain the most you can from the work we do together. Over the past seventeen years as a qualified counsellor I have helped clients with depression, addiction, codependency, anxiety, recovery from harmful relationships, bereavement and loss, trauma, family dynamics and workplace stress.
Counselling will be an opportunity for you to be open up about whatever is on your mind without being judged, with someone who is qualified and independent from your daily life. We will explore together your concerns in order to expand and increase your awareness so that you can understand yourself more fully and perhaps make life enhancing changes.
We can all keep things to ourselves, but sometimes it can feel good to not be alone with problems, distresses, thoughts or daily troubles. As your counsellor I will consider it a privilege to 'walk beside' you while you work through whatever it is that is causing unhappiness, stress, uncertainty or confusion.
