I have provided a therapeutic space for adults of all ages across NHS, charity, community, and private settings since completing doctorate level training in 2006. I have supported individuals facing significant life challenges, offering a relationship in which experiences have been shared, clarified, and understood, and where the holistic impact of those experiences on all parts of the person, and their external connections, has been acknowledged. I work collaboratively with all clients to establish therapeutic aims and suitable approaches to enable the reduction of distress and identify actions to re-establish ownership in living.
I have skills working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life reviews, and specialist experience in supporting those with life-limiting or long-term physical conditions, including persistent pain. This extends to family members or unpaid carers who are impacted by circumstances, whether that is loss and grief through change, or bereavement.
Our experiences in life are unique. I believe a key part of therapy is to gain clarity and understanding of these in order to identify how we may want to respond, and whether there are any obstacles to doing this. An initial phone call can be helpful for you to ask me any questions and get a sense of how we might work together.
