I am an OCD specialist, having a lead role at a highly specialist national service and have worked as a therapist in the NHS for over 20 years. I provide evidence based therapy to treat disorders and psychological difficulties including PTSD, general anxiety, phobias, low self esteem, eating disorders, depression and perfectionism. My clients often report feeling stuck in a pattern of thinking or behaviour and want to make real and lasting changes. My approach focuses on identifying and working through what is maintaining the difficulties and helps clients to gain the tools to keep them self well once therapy has ended.
I also offer specialist evidence based interventions for couples who are experiencing relationship distress and one or both partners are also presenting with depression and/or anxiety. I have experience working in the perinatal period supporting to be and new parents with the transition to parenthood.
I offer a collaborative, warm and nurturing approach which is also honest and challenging so that you can approach your fears, anxiety and loss in a safe and containing space. I have had many years of experience of facilitating and witnessing amazing change and approach each new client with optimism and curiosity about how their journey will unfold.
