I’m Karen Janas, an integrative counsellor working with adults, couples, and young people experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or exhausted, perhaps holding everything together for others while inside you feel unheard or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. You might be living with low mood or depression, navigating burnout, grief, menopause, or struggling with difficult relationships, including your relationship with food or with yourself. Life may feel more about surviving than living, and you’re tired of carrying it all alone.
I offer a calm, empathetic space where you can slow down and feel genuinely heard. Working integratively, I support you to explore what’s happening beneath the surface, the emotional patterns and survival strategies shaping your experiences, and to develop greater understanding, balance, and choice in how you relate to yourself and others.
Therapy can start exactly where you are. I work at your pace, without judgement, offering a calm and supportive space to explore what’s been weighing on you. Together, we make sense of your experiences and work towards greater grounding, understanding, and awareness of your needs.
