I work with people experiencing a wide range of mental health problems which are creating issues in their lives. These include different types of anxiety, low or fluctuating mood, worry and rumination, stress, problems in relationships with others and issues resulting from historic or more recent trauma. Focus is given to understanding the nature and origins of problems and how change can occur. Currently, as a result of being unable to provide face to face therapy due to covid-19, I am working remotely via secure video and/or telephone conferencing.
I have completed professional training in psychology, CBT, EMDR, schema therapy and person centred approaches including emotion focussed therapy. Additionally, I have undertaken training in mindfulness and mentalization.
I have several years experience of working in the NHS, public sector and in private health care. At the current time I provide psychological therapy at the Priory Hospital, Glasgow and in private practice.
