Humans come to therapy because they're unhappy, anxious, hopeless. Maybe life hasn't turned out as expected. Clients may come with a load of self critical vocabulary. They identify low self esteem as a problem yet they have no compassion for themselves. Some are people pleasers or perfectionists; some are anxious and can't tolerate any kind of perceived slight. They identify anxiety as a problem. And they judge themselves harshly. Some are not aligned with their own values. Some have masked because they think and behave in non typical ways. They identify as flawed/ defective. Therapy is a compassionate and curious space
I offer a relaxed, friendly and conversational therapeutic approach where I’m alongside my clients, seeing their world through their eyes. Listening closely, Reflecting and Reframing; providing an opportunity to see the world through a different lens. I work holistically, encouraging my clients to find solutions to the problems that beset them.
I aim to build a therapeutic alliance with my clients so that they know I am on their side. This means that whatever I do, say, will be for their benefit.
