I am a person-centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). There are times in life when people can experience unmanageable or emotionally overwhelming feelings and behaviours or maybe a trauma that may persist even if there is support from friends and loved ones. I encourage my clients to fully explore their experiences and help them accept who they are and what is out of their personal control, so they can better understand their current situation and improve their lives.
As well as offering general counselling in areas such as depression, anxiety, relationships etc, I specialise in offering counselling to stroke survivors, or those with a brain injury, or their carers. I also specialise in carers of those with dementia.
I believe that by working together, counselling can help us to explore and make sense of difficult feelings and experiences. I offer a safe, confidential space where clients can gain a clearer understanding of themselves and make a difference to how they feel.
