Dr Julie Paine is a highly experienced Chartered Psychologist. She seeks to understand causes of distress/behaviours and events that may have contributed to a person feeling unsettled, unheard, stuck, struggling to cope, dissatisfied or unlike how they ‘used to be’. Julie has many years experience working with the NHS and CGL and works with addictive behaviours, anxiety, attachment ruptures, depression, enmeshment, impulse control, loss, OCD, stress and trauma.
She adapts between structured, directive approaches and being client-centred, to psychodynamic interventions to move clients forward. She utilises CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution Focused and Psychodynamic work, according to what a client needs and when they need it.
If your problems are feeling overwhelming or you are struggling with emotions and thoughts about yourself, and how to cope, then I urge you to reach out. Your first step towards therapy will be the hardest. After that, we will build a trusting relationship that feels reassuring, liberating and non-judgmental, to form a unique partnership.
