I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist and counsellor. I work with a range of issues, including anxiety and depression. Being heard and accepted for being who you truly are, can feel incredibly empowering. When this is taken away, our thoughts can trigger unhelpful behaviours, increasing low mood. Which in turn can play havoc with our emotions. When we feel lonely and isolated, overwhelming feelings can flood our thoughts and fears. I can offer you a safe, warm, and confidential space to explore any issues that may contribute towards your anxiety and depression. I am here to listen to you in an non-judgmental way.
As an Integrative, BACP registered counsellor I am qualified to use different theoretical models to meet your therapeutic needs. One approach may not suit all. These models include Transactional Analysis, CBT, or the Psychodynamic approach, which support short or longer term work. I can help you work through any challenges that may affect your wellbeing.
I have professional and personal experience, working with autism and neurodiversity. Carers, and I am familiar with the stress that caring roles can create. I also have specialised in working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse, complex trauma and PTSD. Relationship issues, Couples, low self-worth, esteem, anxiety, depression.
