Some people come to therapy with a specific ‘presenting issue’ that they wish to discuss, explore and resolve. Others are not so sure what it is that troubles them - but they do know that change of some sort is vital, and they would like that change to occur sooner rather than later. Some people come to therapy with great enthusiasm. Others (particularly those who see themselves as ‘fighters’ or ‘succeeders’) might feel embarrassed at the prospect of admitting their stuckness. Whatever your current life situation, allow me to reassure you that change is not only possible, but can often occur in just a few sessions.
I am equipped with both theoretical and practical insight into various models of cognitive, behavioural and emotional change. Crucially, I also possess the psychoeducational skills to give my clients the best possible chance of achieving permanenent change. My approach is eclectic, intuitive, and uplifting.
A counsellor at heart, I have helped many people to recreate their lives and overcome all kinds of difficulties.
