I am a Relate-trained couples counsellor who also works with individuals experiencing relationship difficulties. I specialise in helping couples to communicate more effectively and working through grief and bereavement issues. Common themes for couples include unrealistic expectations, miscommunications, assumptions, and inability to find compromise in conflict. Differing values and beliefs, cultural clashes, and extended family presence, can lead to a mis-perception of incompatibility. Life transitions can be particularly challenging and I offer a safe space to create greater understanding of each other's changing needs.
