I am a Clinical Psychologist working with The Family Place. We offer specialist attachment and trauma informed interventions to children and their families as well as working with adults who have experience of trauma. I am a certified Theraplay practitioner, trainer and supervisor. In addition, I am a certified DDP Practitioner and EMDR practitioner.
I work with families with an attachment and trauma informed approach, centrally involving parents throughout dyadic sessions with the child. This can mean that we work with the whole family.
I also offer adult individual therapy, including EMDR to support trauma processing.
We offer whole family attachment and trauma informed interventions including Theraplay and DDP as well as specific trauma interventions including EMDR for both children and adults.
The impact of trauma echoes throughout a child's life and into adulthood. At the family place, we recognise that for children healing often happens in relationship with their key attachment figure, bringing a parent in the room supports them to feel safe. We work with individuals across the lifespan to support healing from traumatic experiences.
