I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist who has worked for many years with a wide range of life issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family difficulties and loss and bereavement. You may find yourself feeling disconnected, or as though the life you are living is not your own. Perhaps you feel dissatisfied or unhappy, in a crisis or seeking resolution for a particular difficulty. I offer you the chance to more fully understand yourself, past experiences and relationships, ultimately allowing you to live a life that feels more genuine, connected and meaningful.
My approach is psychodynamic. I will work with you to resolve existing or historic difficulties by exploring not only conscious thoughts, feelings and experiences, but also those you may not be fully aware of, which might be impacting your life. These could be repetitive thought patterns, unhelpful behaviours, or beliefs or ideas you hold about yourself.
I will listen to you carefully and thoughtfully, and provide an empathic space where you can freely unravel, explore and understand your feelings, thoughts and experiences in depth.
