My psychotherapy philosophy is that everyone has the resources within themselves to find meaning, purpose and fulfilment in their lives. Sometimes we need some help in accessing these internal resources. If you find yourself feeling stuck, depressed or anxious possibly from external life events, problematic relationship issues, or other internal psychological struggles which may be more difficult to understand, you may find it helpful to speak to a counsellor. Talking about issues of concern in a confidential environment can lead to greater understanding, more self awareness and clarity about best ways forward.
My core training has been in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy which has an understanding that early life experiences and associated coping strategies have a strong impact on present patterns of relating. I am a qualified Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist. This therapy modality known as DIT is used within the NHS for people suffering with depression and anxiety.
My therapeutic approach is to be open to the specialness and uniqueness of each individual.
