My therapy approach has been particularly effective with clients with low-self esteem, depression, worry, OCD, trauma experiences and social anxiety. Irrespective of the presenting problem, I have found that actively listening to an individual is fundamental to any successful treatment.
Experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, has complimented my delivery of CBT as this allows my therapy approach to recognise the importance addressing all aspects of health: sleep, exercise and nutrition - all playing a role in the individual’s wellbeing. I am also trained in EMDR to treat PTSD and other trauma related problems.
My curious and open-minded approach to an individual's problems helps them achieve their desired goals. I often likes to bring humour therapeutically into the therapy room – not to be disrespectful of pain, but in such a way as to maintain perspective and balance.
