The client’s needs are at the heart of the therapy I provide. Sometimes the pressures of life builds, and it can feel overwhelming. I offer a safe environment where we can explore your inner and outer world and work towards your goals for therapy. I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable and empowered to grow in your desired direction. I work integratively and collaboratively, drawing on differing therapeutic disciplines depending on your individual needs. My room is easy to reach from the town centre or M62 and has off-street parking. Online and telephone sessions are also available.
I specialize in working with adults 18+. I utilise my extensive 6-year training which included CBT, Person-Centred, and Psychodynamic principles. I work sensitively with adults who have experienced trauma and hardship in their childhood and growing up. Often these experiences require a gentle and sensitive approach.
Many individuals often suffer from the overwhelming effects of anxiety and depression. I use my experience of working with clients from all walks of life, and research-based strategies to help my clients gain an understanding of why they feel the way they do. I hold a Psychology and Counselling Bsc (Hons) degree and a Psychotherapy and Counselling MA.
