Thank you, I offer Internal Family Systems therapy where we can befriend intrusive and troubling aspects that may get in the way of you living your life. Along with this we can use EMDR approaches to process emotiona trauma, particularly from your childhood. So if you have some difficult memories we can befriend all parts of you, and process experiences of neglect, abuse and abandonment. In this way your adult life and relationships evolve and grow, and you shed symptoms of anxiety and depression and also more difficult intrusive parts. This therapy involves nurturing a healing relationship with your inner child.
I have 25 years experience in the NHS and have postgraduate degrees from the University of London. I have been a liaison psychiatry specialist in mental health services. I have had subsequent training in CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and assessment in psychiatry. I am registered with the BACP, the EMDR Association and have cetificated training in IFS.
I have a really gentle and kind approach to helping the difficulties you might want to bring. We can start with a particular issue ie panic and then also look at the origins of the problem. We can process all aspects of the situation and in a creative and interesting way.
