I am a SPTI qualified (MSc) Integrative psychotherapist (2020) for individuals and a qualified (Diploma, level 7) Supervisor (2023), with UKCP accreditation, No. 2011169423. I also have a diploma in couples work and a PGCE in Compassion Focused Therapy (2014). I was a Mental Health Nurse for 19 years until starting therapy private practice in 2020. I offer individual and couples therapy based on an undersatnding of the effects on our development of infant and childhood experiences. I work with most issues and seek to offer a safe space based on understanding, empathy and client autonomy.
I help you explore and understand yourself. The work helps with with anxiety regulation and difficulty with self regulation of emotions like anger, sadness, grief, and feelings of hopelessness/helplessness, depression, and with conflicts within relationships. Issues of motivation and ability work can be addressed, as well as changing behaviour patterns.
I offer a free 20 minute online initial consultation. The next stage is an assessment session, either face to face or online. If we agree to work together I suggest a trial of 6 sessions face to face or online. Further work may be time unlimited. Endings are best planned but there are no obligations.
