It may be more tangible life events: a bereavement, the end of a relationship, job loss etc. or that the client has found themselves 'stuck' in a place they feel unable to work through with any clarity of thought.
My training is in the psychodynamic model of psychotherapy, which looks at the intricacies and nature of our earliest relationships, and how they may have created a template from which we might unconsciously work in our adult relationships. My approach is one of empathy, calm and also one that is active and engaging.
I believe in building a good rapport between therapist and client, through integrity, confidentiality and respect. With weekly sessions, at the same time in the same place, we can build a consistent platform from which to establish a trusting, safe environment to work through whatever material the client may bring.
