I am an experienced Registered and Senior Accredited counsellor/psychotherapist I have 32 years experience and over 20,000 hours client sessions. I offer individual and couples counselling. I have extensive experience working for the NHS, heading up a therapy service in one of the largest GP Medical Practices in the UK. I now work from my home near OAKHAM. The first step is to meet me for an initial assessment session so that you ca decide if I am the right therapist for you and if so, we can consider how best to address the issues you are facing. I believe that the relationship is central to our work together.
I work with stress, loss, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have specialist training in bereavement, couples issues and trauma. I use CBT to identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns resulting in self defeating behaviours. I use EMDR for disturbing memories and trauma. I work with childhood and deeper issues that interfere with life now.
As an integrative therapist, I tailor the way I work to suit the issue you are bringing. The group runs as a 6 session course covering topics adapted to each groups needs. Topics covered are Building confidence, self esteem/ worth. Knowing who I am and who I want to become. The grief journey
This is a group for adults who would like a safe and confidential space to support them in their grief journey along side others . There are 6 sessions each dealing with a different aspect of grief and time to talk with others about your own experience. Being alone with grief can be difficult and knowing other people are experiencing similar feelings and thoughts can often help.
