About
We all experience fear, panic & sadness in our lives, and this can sometimes feel overwhelming. My focus is to help individuals understand the thought and behavioural processes that can maintain these emotions. I support & encourage healing by identifying inner strengths and develop strategies to manage and reduce these feelings in a healthy, helpful and productive way, in a neutral, safe & non-judgemental environment
I am a qualified and accredited CBT therapist and also a fully qualified EMDR therapist with a background of mental health nursing. I have over 15 years experience of working with people with mental health difficulties in a variety of settings,
I have a special interest in building self-compassion. It is my experience that most people are their own harshest critic and wouldn't dream of saying to a loved one what we say to ourselves. If I can help someone be as kind to themselves as they are to family & friends, I consider that a job well done
