I specialise in treating mental health conditions, particularly trauma. Trauma can arise from life events, relationships, loss or abuse. It doesn't only affect veterans or those who have had near-death experiences. Sometimes, trauma is incorporated into how we view ourselves as people. I can help you to change that. I often work with clients who have suffered for many years and sometimes 'as long as I can remember' and have never gotten to the root cause of their difficulties. They would like to work with someone who is genuine, kind and who really listens to understand. To know why they feel like this and how to feel safe again.

I adapt my CBT practice to fit your unique story and life experiences. I value the therapy relationship above all else and will treat you with empathy and compassion. If we agree to undertake EMDR therapy for trauma I incorporate compassionate imagery to support you to feel grounded. I have 10 years experience and I teach and supervise other professionals.

I will connect with you as a human being, never judge or lecture you and demonstrate a deep understanding of what you want from therapy. We will create a 'map of you'; your struggles and your strengths. We will work together to build on your coping skills and values, whilst targeting what you find difficult in life. You will feel seen, safe and understood.
