Hello, I’m Jo, a fully qualified CBT therapist based in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, offering in-person and online sessions across the UK. Reaching out can feel like a big step. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel truly heard and understood. Together, we gently explore how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours connect, and identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is compassionate and practical, helping you build insight, confidence and lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. If you’re considering therapy, I welcome you to get in touch.
I specialise in anxiety, panic, health anxiety, low mood and self-esteem. If you feel stuck in worry or overwhelmed, I can help you understand the patterns keeping things going. Using evidence-based CBT, we work together to build practical tools, strengthen resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in worry, or not quite like yourself. Reaching out can feel difficult, but you don’t have to face things alone. I offer a warm, supportive space where we can gently make sense of what’s happening and begin building meaningful change together. If this resonates with you, I invite you to take that first step.

For anxiety or depression, CBT focuses on understanding how your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours interact and may be keeping difficulties going. We work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours, and gently test out more balanced perspectives and practical coping strategies. Skills you can continue using long after therapy ends.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you here and work together to find the best ways to help you move forward. CBT helps us see how your thoughts can shape your feelings and experiences, and I'll support you in learning practical ways to challenge unhelpful thoughts so you can feel better in your day-to-day life.
