Whatever you are suffering, I welcome you to work with me - someone who will listen with careful attention to your words, and your ways of being. We will have the time and space to speak and think together, to explore what feels so difficult. Psychotherapy enables change, something new can become possible. My experience includes work with anxiety, depression, sexuality, bereavement, suicidality, and relationships. Some people feel they have lost a sense of purpose, others are questioning how to flourish with a felt sense of difference. Together we will give shape and meaning to your past and present - to unlock a different future.
To begin to speak is to find language for the narrative of your life, your singular experience, your past, and your present. It can also become the way to change the story. I will explore with you all that unfolds between us, and what emerges can bring surprise, and it can bring change into your life: encountering yourself and your unconscious in new ways.
My practice is in a quiet and welcoming room 12mins drive (20mins by bus) from Penzance - which creates a window of quiet time before and after that many find very helpful. I offer sessions in person and online. Having previously lived and worked in London I work online in London and worldwide. All enquires very welcome - see my website for more information.

Beginning therapy can be daunting and so I warmly invite you to a free initial consultation to have a chat about how we might work together. My standard fee is £45, but with the belief that therapy should be affordable for all, I hold a few low-fee spaces for those on low income.

Prior to training in psychotherapy my background was in academia, literature, and the arts. Having also worked as a volunteer with individuals in crisis, I took my deep interest in how we navigate the experience of our lives and our relationships to others, into the field of therapy.

Why is it so difficult to live and find our place in the world? We bear the pressures on how we "should" live, who we should be. Suffering takes many forms from addiction to depression, compulsions, and anxiety. Together we will explore the sigificance of your present and past experience, the questions you may have about yourself, or how to be in a world that feels hostile to difference.

Treatment Approach

Types of Therapy

  • Psychoanalytic
"
My approach is psychoanalytic, and my practice is informed by classical and contemporary theory. We try to change, but time and again we find ourselves in the same patterns of thinking, reacting and relating. Whatever and however you are suffering, psychotherapy offers the time and space to explore your unconscious motivations and conflicts, to begin to be in a way unlike before.
