I am an experienced BACP Accredited therapist working with a diverse range of mental health issues resulting from life events, relationship or family issues. I am passionate about the healing that can be done and progress made when working with a counsellor and psychotherapist. I have spent my whole working life supporting people in different mental health settings, including as a Mental Health Nurse for the NHS, in a bereavement charity for 9 years, in Nottingham University supporting students and more recently in an affordable counselling service for 6 years. I work with 16 + to older adults and love meeting new clients.
I trained integratively in three modalities: Person Centred, which I believe is the bedrock of all counselling, CBT, and Attachment Theory. I have also completed training in Couples Therapy, EMDR and courses in Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Autism and Transactional Analysis. I will apply the therapy that most fits your needs.
I have alot of life experience to offer you as a client and have worked with many issues over many years, all of which inform my practice. I pride myself on offering a warm, kind and completely non -judgemental space to my clients and adhere strictly to ethics required by my governing body. I work collaboratively with all my clients.
