Hi, I am Jo and welcome to my profile. I am a qualified and Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the BACP Integrative approach, believing 'one size does NOT fit all'. This approach gives me a variety of skills and ideas based on theory from different schools of thought, therefore allowing me to reach and help more people. I am also an experienced coach, particularly around relationships. Whilst there are definite differences between Counselling/Psychotherapy and Coaching, and there are professional ethics and boundaries I abide, I also believe that the two have similarities in enabling and empowering people to make change.
There are lots of counsellors and coaches practising and we all work differently which is the beauty of this field. I believe the relationship is the most important thing and finding the right person for you to work with, the person that will most empower you to make the important changes in your life is of utmost importance.
I offer a warm and accepting space to explore whatever is on your mind or going on in your life and I have worked with a variety of issues such as relationship difficulties, career crossroads or problems, confidence, self esteem, depression, anxiety and have extensive experience of working with Addictions.
