Hello, thank you for viewing my profile. I'm Jo Cooper, an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor educated to postgraduate level, holding a PGDip Professional Integrative Psychotherapy, and a Masters degree researching perinatal loss and reproductive trauma.
I initially graduated as a registered midwife and have a clinical career in women's health spanning 30 years.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, understanding and deep respect for the unique experiences of each individual dealing with emotional struggles.
My academic and clinical training allows me to draw upon various 'talking therapy' approaches, to tailor a bespoke package of therapy.
My focus is to build a collaborative and trusting relationship whereby difficulties and struggles can be explored in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I work with adult individuals, couples and familes.
Beginning therapy can feel like a daunting prospect.
You are welcome to reach out with an initial message, saying as much or as little as you like, or simply requesting contact from me.
