Hi – I'm Jo. I’m a Counselling Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner. I work with adults and young people (15+). Sometimes life will present us with challenges and difficulties that we struggle to make sense of, or that make us feel stuck and unable to move forward positively. We may have experienced trauma /relational traumas. Not knowing what to do or how to be when we have these experiences can create a diverse set of uncomfortable feelings. Its different for everyone; whilst one person may feel overwhelmed or isolated, another may struggle with negative thoughts, anger, anxiety or depression. Perhaps this sounds like you?
I believe we all have within us the strength to make positive changes to ourselves and our lives, we just need a little help at the right time. Counselling & EMDR provides the space to reflect and directly work through your difficulties. I work alongside you, listening without judgement, reflecting back and sometimes challenging you in a supportive way.
Choosing the right counsellor; one you feel comfortable with, is a vital part of taking the first step forward in addressing your difficulties. Selecting from a picture and profile can be hard.
